Facebook profile photos – you now can control your privacy!

Facebook Profile Privacy

Did you know you can now control who sees your profile photos on Facebook?

This ranges from:

Public
Friends
Friends except acquaintance
Only me
Customer
Plus you lists which you have created

So how do i amend my Facebook privacy on a profile photo?

Click on your profile photo on the top of your Facebook profile page
Select the drop down menu next to your photo
select who you give permission to see your profile photo
and that’s it!

What is Facebook? // WhichSocialMedia.com

Have you ever wondered who is following your Facebook page but not liking your posts? Follow these direction on how to do it. It’s quiet easy!

Go to your Facebook page (it’s normally something like www.facebook.com/WhichSocialMedia)
(HINT: It will have ADMIN PAGE at the top if you are Administrating it)
and click on the SEE ALL link which is next to NEW LIKES

You will notice the PEOPLE WHO LIKE THIS drop down menu, click on on it and

Select SUBSCRIBERS.

and there you go, it will show you the people who are subscribed to you but havent Liked you page.

How easy is that?

What is SoundGecko? SoundGecko (www.SoundGecko.com) is a new app for the iPhone, it takes any website and converts the text to speech. It’s a great app for when you are out walking or driving to work and you don’t want to read a lot of text, so why not convert it to speech! You can convert the website text to speech in two easy ways. Email the Link or use the Chrome Applet, Heres how to convert it: Email the link: Locate the webpage you are wanting to read, Copy the URL (web address – e.g. www.domain-name.com/page.html) into a new email, Email the URL to go@soundgecko.com, Open the SoundGecko app on your iPhone, Select the document you want to listen to and just press play! Use the Chrome Applet Locate the webpage you are wanting to read, Click the SoundGecko Applet, Open the SoundGecko app on your iPhone, Select the document you want to listen to and just press play! You can also link your DropBox or Google Drive account to SoundGecko. Email receipts can be sent to you to confirm your recordings, these will be sent to the account which you have signed up with. You can turn this service on or off within the preferences tab on the SoundGecko website. SoundGecko does a really great job at encoding text to speech and sounds quiet natural too. From reading the SoundGecko website, the service is currently free at the moment but they are developing more functions and later on, this will turn into a paid service. Even if it was a paid service, i would look at paying for it. I wish i had something which was this easy for me to use when i was at university, all those websites i had to read over and over to study for exams, this site would have come in handy. Now, i am always surfing the net as part of my job, this is going to make my job a lot easier! Hotmail has been rebranded to Outlook.com

Outlook.com is the new Hotmail So we all need email address’ for our social media apps and platforms and Hotmail is one free email platform which has been out for years. Microsoft has rebranded their Hotmail product to the new Outlook.com. If you have a hotmail address, why not roll it over to Outlook.com as there are some very nice features which Microsoft developed, such as: Take your appointments with you, sync calendar on all devices. Add networks such as LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook to your inbox. Import contacts from other email accounts, save time looking for addresses. Social updates, contact info, chat with friends, directly from your inbox. Manage contacts and check their social updates directly from your inbox. Set up 5 aliases, Microsoft advise that its an anti-spam and anti-hoarding restriction, so its set to 5. Just to name a few… Sign up to Outlook.com today and migrate your old Hotmail account or set up a brand new account. Let us know what you think of the new look!

Google+ vs Facebook Infographic

I know myself I use Facebook a lot more over Google+ for one reason only, i forget that Google+ is there! I suppose I just need to train and remind myself it is there and to share the love. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t see anything wrong with Google+, I just forget – just call me Dory (from Finding Nemo).

What is your take on Google+, do you use it more or less than Facebook, if at all?

OS X Mountain Lion Error – There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (100)

Apple App Shop - Error 100 Screenshot - OS X Mountain Lion

OS X Mountain Lion has just been released on the Australian Apple app store and by looking at the amount of tweets on Twitter and various other social networks, a lot of people are discovering the following error:

“There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (100)”.

From what can be established is that Apple can’t keep up with the amount of people wanting to download the latest version of operating system for Mac.

Reports around the globe advise that it is best to come back later and try downloading it, eventually you will be able to get your hands on the latest and greatest version of Mac – welcome to Mountain Lion!

Instagram – Your Social Media Journey through photography

Instagram is a fun and beautiful way to share your photos with friends and new friends. Photo’s taken can be your raw and untouched image or you can use one of the many filters to add vibrant effects to your creations. Filters included in the app are: Normal, Amaro, Rise, Hudson, X-Pro11, Sierra, Lo II, Earlybird, Sutro, Toaster, Brannan, Inkwell, Walden, Hefe, Velencia, Nashville, 1977 Kelvin. Tilt-shift can be added to create an additional effect, as well as adding different frames to the image and brightness.When uploading the image to Instagram, you can hash tag (# hastag) your images so they will turn up on other users searches, add a location to the image and also share via various social networks like Twitter, Facebook, Email, Tumblr, Fousquare, and Flickr
